PT Bhineka Inovasi Ketahanan Energi Tbk (BIKE) has officially acquired a 72 percent stake in PT Berau Usaha Mandiri (BUM) through its subsidiary, PT Prambanan Nusantara Energi (PNE).
The acquisition is part of BIKE’s business development plans in the energy and mining sectors, while also expanding the company’s revenue streams beyond its existing businesses.
According to an information disclosure filed with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday (October 9, 2026), BIKE Director Winston Mulyadi said the acquisition would support the company’s future business development and diversification.
“This acquisition is expected to support the development and diversification of the company’s business activities and contribute positively to BIKE’s future performance,” Winston said.
BUM operates a 500-hectare mining area in Tanjung Redeb, Berau regency, East Kalimantan.
Of the approximately 400 hectares explored, BUM has proven coal reserves of around 22 million metric tonnes.
With these reserves, management is targeting annual coal production of 1.5 million to 2.5 million metric tonnes.
“This acquisition is part of BIKE’s business transformation and diversification strategy in the energy sector,” he said.
However, details of the acquisition value and the schedule for the start of coal production at the mine have not yet been disclosed.
The company said it would provide additional information to relevant parties as the project progresses.
The disclosures will be made in accordance with applicable information disclosure requirements and regulations governing publicly listed companies.
