PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk (ANTM), or Antam, spent IDR 134.39 billion on gold, nickel, and bauxite exploration activities through September 2026.
The activities were carried out across several areas in West Java, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, and West Kalimantan.
According to an information disclosure filed with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday (October 9, 2026), ANTM’s gold exploration activities were centered in Pongkor, West Java. The activities included surface and underground drilling, geological mapping, rock and drill core sampling, and laboratory analysis to evaluate mineralization potential.
Nickel exploration was conducted in North Konawe and Pomalaa in Southeast Sulawesi, as well as Marimoi and Lililef Sawai in North Maluku.
The company also carried out exploration activities within the mining business license (IUP) area of its subsidiary, PT Sumberdaya Arindo (PT SDA), in Buli, North Maluku.
Nickel exploration activities included drilling, geological and laterite mapping, sampling, chemical analysis, and geophysical surveys. However, activities at several locations remained in the preparation stage and were awaiting completion of the permitting process.
Activities within PT SDA’s IUP area remained focused on securing approval for the use of forest areas (PPKH) for exploration.
Meanwhile, in Lililef Sawai, ANTM was still preparing for exploration while fulfilling the requirements for PPKH approval and approval of its work plan and budget (RKAB).
Bauxite exploration was carried out in Tayan and Landak, West Kalimantan, involving drilling, geological mapping, sample collection and washing, laboratory analysis, and exploration data processing.
